Youngblood Building Movers - About Us

Company History

Hardy Youngblood founded the original company in 1945 in Madison, Tennessee. The Youngboold crew worked throughout Central and East Tennessee until the late 1950s.

As work was slowing in the Tennessee area, roads were being built and houses needed to be moved in Central Florida. After some deliberation, Hardy and his sons took advantage of this situation and moved to Florida. They started moving houses around the Kaley Avenue area to make way for I-4.

Then they worked in the Jacksonville area as the interstate system continued to expand. As work continued to grow due to the expansion of US1, they went to Titusville to move more homes and businesses.
In the 1960s the Space Program was on the move and the government purchased Merritt Island. Working closely with this government program was an integral part of the business for the next five years.

After Meritt Island, Hardy Youndblood and his family decided that the business needed to be centrally located. The company moved in1966 to Lake Monroe and remains there today.

Tom A. Youngblood worked side by side with his father until he assumed management in 1980 and formed T.A. Youngblood and Sons Building Movers, Inc. Youngblood Building Movers is a family driven company with a long history dedicated to the expertise acquired in the field from moving countless structures of all kinds. They have the experience and dedication to do every job right.
In 2014 we are proud to say that  we celebrated our companies 69th anniversary.
